National Dairy Convention: Two-Day Event of Sahakar Bharati Dairy Cell Successfully Concluded

The two-day National Convention of the Sahakar Bharati Dairy Cell was grandly held at the auditorium of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) in Anand, Gujarat. The event was inaugurated by esteemed dignitaries including Jagdish Vishwakarma, Cooperation Minister of Gujarat Government; Vipulbhai Patel, Chairman of Amul Dairy; Minesh Shah, Chairman of NDDB; Niranjan, Vice-Chancellor of Sardar Patel University; Shyamlbhai Patel, Chairman of Amul Marketing Federation; Deepak Chaurasia, National General Secretary of Sahakar Bharati; Devendra Sharma, National Head of the Dairy Cell; along with other prominent guests, who lit the ceremonial lamp to mark the occasion.

Highlights of Day One:

  • First Session: Shankarbhai Chaudhary, Chairman of Banas Dairy and Speaker of Gujarat Assembly, shared his inspiring success story in the dairy sector.
  • Second Session: Scientists and experts from NDDB provided detailed insights on improving milk quality and productivity.
  • Third Session: Kataria, Vice-Chancellor of Anand Agricultural University, presented his research on indigenous cattle breeds, followed by an impactful lecture on cattle-based agriculture by Mr. Gopal Ji.

Highlights of Day Two:

  • Jayen Mehta, Managing Director of Amul Dairy, highlighted Amul’s success story and the support extended to farmers and milk producers. He also addressed queries from the attending dairy producers.

  • Successful women dairy producers from across the country, such as Gayatri Ben, Mittal Ben, Meena Ben, among others, shared their experiences on stage, setting an example of women’s empowerment.

Closing Session:

In the closing session, Sanjay Pachpor, National Organization Minister of Sahakar Bharati, delivered an inspiring speech emphasizing the potential of diversification and business expansion in the dairy sector through cooperative efforts.

This national convention proved to be a significant milestone for cooperative-based dairy development, bringing together experts, scientists, farmers, and entrepreneurs from across the country to exchange knowledge and ideas.
