PM Modi’s Two-Day Visit to Gujarat Following Operation Sindhoor: Grand Roadshow Today

Following Operation Sindhoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is embarking on a two-day visit to Gujarat. In Bhuj, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for 33 development projects. In Dahod, at Kharod, he will launch and lay the foundation for infrastructure projects worth over ₹24,000 crore across various departments. On May 27, he will attend a special event at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation for projects worth ₹5,539 crore.

First Gujarat Visit After Operation Sindhoor

This is PM Modi’s first visit to Gujarat post Operation Sindhoor. From Bhuj, he will dedicate multiple development initiatives to the districts of Kutch, Jamnagar, Amreli, Junagadh, Gir Somnath, Ahmedabad, Tapi, and Mahisagar. The projects include infrastructure at Kandla Port, solar plants, power transmission systems, pilgrimage site development, power grid enhancements, and Din Dayal Port Authority works — totaling 33 development initiatives.

Inauguration and Foundation Stones of Development Projects Across Gujarat

Additionally, in Gandhidham, PM Modi will inaugurate projects such as the Center of Excellence, temple premises at Mata no Madh, and developments in Khodiyar Bhavani and Chachar Kund areas. Key highlights include the transmission system from the newly constructed Renewable Energy Zone in Khavda, an underground storm-resistant electricity distribution network in Gandhidham, a high-speed lane corridor from Bhuj to Nakhatrana, a green hydrogen production facility, three road overbridges in Kandla, and tourism infrastructure development at Dholavira.

Nation’s First 9000 HP Locomotive Engine to Be Dedicated at Dahod

In Dahod, the PM will dedicate India’s first 9000 horsepower locomotive engine. He will also inaugurate several railway projects including the doubling of Anand-Godhra, Mehsana-Palanpur, and Rajkot-Hadmatiya rail lines, electrification of the 107 km Sabarmati-Botad rail line, and gauge conversion of the Kalol-Kadi-Katosan rail line — totaling ₹23,292 crore. Furthermore, ₹181 crore worth of drinking water improvement schemes covering 193 villages in Mahisagar and Dahod districts will be inaugurated.

Public Welfare Projects in Dahod

In Dahod, the PM will dedicate various public utility and welfare projects such as a municipal building and a tribal museum. In Vadodara district, he will lay the foundation for road development projects worth ₹581 crore including widening of Savli-Timba, Kayavarohan-Sapli, and Jarod-Samalaya roads, and a new bridge on the Padmala-Ranoli road.

IPD Facility at Ahmedabad Civil Campus

On May 27, at Gandhinagar’s Mahatma Mandir, PM Modi will inaugurate over 22,000 housing units constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He will also lay the foundation stone for the ₹1,000 crore Sabarmati Riverfront Phase-3 in Ahmedabad. In Gandhinagar, the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre will be inaugurated. In Ahmedabad’s civil campus, he will lay the foundation for an IPD (In-Patient Department) facility with 18,000 beds, including 500 beds dedicated to infectious diseases.

PM to Flag Off Two New Trains Including Vande Bharat

On May 26, PM Modi will inaugurate several railway projects from Dahod. He will also flag off the Sabarmati-Botad train and the new Ahmedabad (Sabarmati) – Somnath (Veraval) Vande Bharat Express. The 8-coach Vande Bharat train is scheduled to start service from May 27.
