Hisar, Haryana – A woman YouTuber named Jyoti Malhotra has been arrested by the Hisar Police on charges of spying for Pakistan. Jyoti, a resident of Ghoda Farm Road in Hisar, runs a YouTube channel called “Travel with Jo.”
During interrogation, Jyoti informed the police that she had visited the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi in 2023 to inquire about obtaining a visa to travel to Pakistan. There, she met a man named Ahsan-ur-Rahim, also known as Danish, and took his phone number. The two stayed in contact, and later, at his suggestion, she traveled to Pakistan twice.
While in Pakistan, Jyoti met a man named Ali Awan through Ahsan-ur-Rahim. Ali Awan introduced her to officials from Pakistani security and intelligence agencies. She later met two other individuals, Shakir and Rana Shahbaz. She saved Shakir’s contact under the fake name “Jatt Randhawa” to avoid suspicion.
After returning to India, she continued to stay in touch with these individuals via social media and allegedly transmitted anti-national information. Police officials are now conducting a detailed investigation into the case.
